Able People Foundation has focused on two comprehensive programs:
- Educational and self help
- Giving Program
Our objectives is to show that disability is not an end but it could be a new beginning to a way of fulfilling life filled with high spirit and strong will. BELIEVING IS IN SEEING AND READING!
1 - Educational and self help program:
With your help and interaction, we will provide a vibrant environment for including articles and videos that will create greater information and learning about our spirit, obstacles, strength, solutions, and much more. Therefore, educational and self help program has been divided into following sub program:
- Educational Articles It provides already existing articles to enhance our knowledge about laws, product selections, benefits, travel and more.
- Empowering Videos Our objective is to show videos that inspiring and motivational.
- Products Search We will continue to ask manufacturers to list their products for disability at this site to provider easier access to products available for all of us living with disability.
- Product Demos (coming soon) We will ask manufacturers to present a live Q and A and demo their products on line through Able People Foundation. Therefore, we create a greater opportunity to learn about new and available products for people with disabilities.
- Open Access We will collaborate with other non-profit or for-profit entities to present issues that matter such as housing, social security, financial, benefits, travel and more live on line, and answer your questions.
2 - Giving Program
With your support, participation, and donations, we will make basic mobility products available such as manual wheelchairs, walkers, and etc. at no cost to our local low income families. And we will provide a classified forum for people to donate or exchange their unused disability products on national level.
Therefore, our giving program is divided into following sub-programs
- Giving used and basic mobility products Free, only in local area at this time Our community could donate their unused but in good working condition mobility products to Able People Foundation and we will identify and give the products to people with no insurance or ample funding that desperately in need through our application process.
- Giving brand new basic mobility products in large quantity to our local community With your charity contributions, we will collaborate with other organizations and businesses to identify low income elderly and individuals living with physical limitations in need of basic products that will not be covered by their health insurances. We will purchase the products and distribute on larger quantities.
